The
objective of the department is to
cultivate technical and management
cadres in fibres andtextile related
fields. We are aiming at both the
teaching and researching of the science
and technology of fibres and textile
in accordance with the economic growth
in the country. Focusing on both theoretic
and practical aspects in fibres and
textile, the curriculum is featured
in fibre materials, spinning and weaving,
dyeing and finishing as well as the
marketing and management. Students
are encouraged to obtain certificates
of specialized technician in textile.
Being
one of few departments in the country
that specialized in fibres and textile,
our department is so fully equipped
with the best instructors and facilities
that we have the honor to get grade
"A" in the yearly evaluation
made by Ministry
of Education. Conferences and seminars
are held constantly to promote advances
in knowledge and technique among students
andteachers. Teachers are also encouraged
to attend various trainings and symposiums
in fibres and textile so as to strengthen
their practical experiences.

of Mechanical Engineering
The
objective of the department is to
cultivate specialized cadres in machinery
related area to provide excellent
work force for the industry so as
to help elevate the competitive ability
and techniques needed in the country.
the Length Calibration Lab in oru
department is the first calibration
lab in the vocational college level
that has obtained the certification
authorized by CNLA.
The characteristic of teaching
method lies in theoretical teaching
as well as practical experience. The
homemade super fuel saving car has
won the best Creative Design Award
in the Third Fuel Saving
Car Competition. In addition to that,
7 cases of cooperative projects have
been set up with Fort Auto Incorporation
with which we have long-term collaborative
relationship. Of which, 3 are integrated
cases conducted by our department
and the Department of Information
Management.
In the past 3 years, the teachers
of the department have published 28
papers in internationally well-known
periodicals, with 20 of them published
in SCI. The micro/nano Thin FilmLab
and its task force are now scheduled
to establish to further expand the
achievements and increase results
of the department.

The
objective of the department is to
cultivate specialized cadres of knowledge
and skills in chemicalengineering
related field so as to provide professionals
for the chemical chemical industry.
To equip students with both theoretical
knowledge and application, we also
offer elective courses such as polymer
science, catalysis, prevention and
remedy of pollution and chemical materials
in addition to required chemical engineering
related courses. Polymers and catalysis
feature the two specialized areas,
which the department plans to pursue
in the long run. To provide sound
environment for experiment, teaching
and researching, our department continue
to purchase the latest equipments
and renew facility in the labs. One
of the labs, as evaluated by the Vocational
Training Center, E.V.T.A,
Council of Labor Affairs, Executive
Yuan, is qualified for holding the
Class B Chemical Technician Proficiency
Test.
In the past three years, the teachers
of the department have published 73
papers in internationally well-known
periodicals, with 46 of them published
in SCI. In addition to the Membrane
Technology Lab and Catalyst Application
Lab, we are planning to establish
Separation Technology lab and Electronic
Materials Lab to further expand the
achievements and results of the department.

With the help of our Environmental
Protection Center, we establish a

and engineering consultation. There
are already more than five thousand
alumni of our department serving for
engineering units, contributing to
national constructions. Particularly,

Our
Department focuses on international
economy and the need of Taiwanese
business enterprises. With the emphasis
on the combination of theory and practical
operation, we connect the features
of regional enterprises and provide
updating concepts and technology to
cultivate specialized managing personnel
in marketing, finance, and management.
At the same time, students are trained
in language skills and taught to strengthen
their abilities in applying information
technology.
Courses in management are the core
of our planning in curriculum. We
teach students general knowledge and
skills in management. In addition,
we plan to classify the advanced courses
into three course tracks, such as
finance, marketing, and management.
Students are encouraged to actively
take various verification tests in

To
meet the demand of economic development
and internationalization in Taiwan,
our goal is to cultivate practical
personnel in foreign languages, theory
of commerce and information management.
The curriculum is arranged in a crisscross
pattern; i.e., language ability training
to deepen and special subjects to
widen students' overall proficiency.
We lay stress on linguistic training
in listening, speaking, reading, writing
and translating to enable our students
to obtain professional language skills
and the humanities. Furthermore, we
lead our students in producing special
subjects so to strengthen their abilities
in entering a higher school or getting
a job.
Many of graduates from our department
were accepted by national and private
institutions. In addition, others
serve in the related fields to applied
foreign languages. They all have outstanding
performance in further education or
vocational life. Students in school
actively take English proficiency
tests and verification tests in commerce
and information processing. In the
school year of 1997, they took verification
tests in document processing and had
the honor to win first place as a
group and individual.
Students in our department took
part in various kinds of academic

years of 1999 and 2000, they took

We
cultivate students to master computer
graphics, detailing and construction
in situ so that they can duly handle
both designs and coordination. By
the establishment of teaching groups
in specialized subjects, the teachers
can adequately discuss the planning
of curriculum, teaching materials,
and grade criteria. Besides, our curriculum
is based on chronological and synchronic
considerations. We aim at combining
detailing, construction in situ (or
workplace, on-the-spot), and computer
graphics with architectural design.
In the course of special subjects,
students can choose an advisor to
implement detailing, blueprint design,
computer graphics, 3D animation, traditional
architecture, material utilizing,
designing approach, cost estimate,
structural system, green architecture,
power saving, and architectural regulations,
etc.
Students
have obtained class "B"
or class "C" technician's
certificates/ qualification on architectural
cartography and engineering management.
There have been several graduates
passing National Higher Examination,
National Ordinary Examination, and
National Examination for Professionals
& Technicians as well as the entrance
examinstion to graduate schools of
various colleges every year. Up to
now, there are already fifty-odd alumni
of our department obtaining architect's
certificates, and forty-odd acting
as practicing architects.

Education Center
The
general education center of Nanya
is consisted of the common subjects
. It has been establised since August
2000. It's responsible for setting
up the curriculum and carring out
the courses of common subjects. Besides,
it also spreas out the related administration.
In order to practice the general
education principles, The general
education committee was founded in
September, 2000. The members include
the principle, dean of studies, dean
of student affairs, dean of general
affairs, dean of night division, dean
of the general education center, and
the representatives of each teaching
subjects. This committee is charged
of setting the goals and plans.
The
teaching features of the general education

(Humanity, Science, Technology, Society)
that leads to the principal axis -intergrating
all the general education curriculum,
