Department of Environmental Technology and Management
The Department aims to equip students with professional knowledge and skills in the field of "Environmental Technology and Management" and "Disaster Prevention and Management". The former focuses on the development of environmental engineering and green technology; the latter is to build disaster prevention and management mechanisms for dealing with natural disasters (such as safety inspection of building structures and disaster prevention management) and human disasters (such as fire, explosion, toxic chemicals).
Our faculty consists of 7 full-time members, which including
3 professor, 2 associate professors, 1 assistant professors and
1 lecturers. The faculty members integrate expertise in the fields of environmental engineering, civil engineering, and disaster prevention to apply for research projects, granted by government and engineering unit, establishing the inter-district of industry-academic cooperation mechanism. Our department faculties have published
more than 60 papers and implemented
about 40 industry-university cooperation programs in the past three years. We encourage students to participate in the industry-university cooperation program and research project. The participation process and research results are integrated into teaching to enhance the breadth of students’ learning.
The department owns 10 Laboratories as listed below. These laboratories are well equipped and providing the students very good environment for practical skill training.
- Environmental technology laboratories include Air Pollution Control and Resource Recycling Lab, Environmental Disaster and Industrial Hazard Lab, Water Quality Analysis Lab, Indoor Air Quality Diagnostic Lab, Waste Analysis Lab and Environmental Unit Operation Lab.
- Disaster prevention and management laboratories include Engineering Materials Lab, Structural Mechanics Lab, Soil Mechanics Lab and Surveying Lab.
