Department of Information Management

Introduction
The Department of Information Management at Nanya Institute of Technology was established in 1994. We believe that every student enrolled in the department is a unique individual. To understand each student's ability and help them to fully develop their potential in Information Management is our mission. Currently the department offers a 4-year Bachelor degree and equips the students with the basic knowledge of information technology and know-how skills. Our program emphasizes on practice of information technology and management.

Teaching Goal and Strategy
The teaching goal of the department aims at practices of information service in business domain. To achieve this goal, we proposed a training strategy - Development of information professional capacity from IT volunteers to business information service. The strategy includes a number of activities: IT skills enhancement, Industry into teaching, Industry-university cooperation, IT volunteers, and business information services. Through these teaching activities, our students developed IT skills, got good attitudes and enhanced their competitiveness.

Curriculum Information
Our undergraduate program emphasizes a lot on practical training. Students have to build up abilities to solve problems in any organization using information technology. Therefore, besides the information technology and the business management, we emphasizes the practice of information technology and management, especially information used in customer service, network management in businesses, software  development on mobile device, and multimedia application and its development in Internet marketing.

Our department has four public classrooms:

• General classroom (7F) for general management courses.
• Computer Lab. (3F & 4F) for computer courses.
• Conference room (4F) for speech or presentation courses.
• Seminar room (3F) for small group discussion.
