Core Competency Indicators
1.Student graduation credits
(1) Graduates of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and the Vehicle Engineering Section of the Continuing Education Department of the Department of Mechanical Engineering must complete a minimum of 128 credits, including 16 credits of common courses, 18 credits of general education courses, 64 credits of professional compulsory courses, and 30 credits of professional elective courses.
(2) Graduates of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Department of Continuing Education must complete a minimum of 72 credits, including 12 credits of common courses, 24 credits of professional courses, and 36 credits of professional electives.
2. Graduation requirements
The Department is based on the concept of developing "holistic education" and aims to teach general professional knowledge and practical skills, while cultivating industrial R&D talents with humanistic qualities, social care, professional knowledge and independent thinking. In order to assist students in their all-round development, cultivate students with rich professional knowledge, practical employment skills and the qualities that contemporary citizens should have, so that they can become excellent South Asians, we plan three major ability indicators for students' all-round development, which are defined as follows:
(1) Professional competence: Students develop their professional competence in their professional courses, which is the “core competence indicator”.
(2) Employability: To develop students’ professional skills required for employment through practical learning such as internships, certifications, and competitions.
(3) Social skills: To help students develop a healthy and mature mind and personality, and acquire the qualities that contemporary citizens should have, by studying courses offered by the departments and the General Education Center, or by participating in other non-curricular activities and studies.
