About Us
Brief IntroductionWith a comprehensive view of domestic and global contexts and a commitment to sustainable development goals, Nanya Institute of Technology established the "Office of International Cooperation (Preparatory Office)" as a top-level unit in February 2024. This office serves as an integration hub for existing international affairs units within the university, actively driving the implementation of the internationalization policies. Beyond continual efforts to attract general international students and Overseas Chinese students (including those from Hong Kong and Macao), we closely align with the New Southbound Policy of the Executive Yuan and the Immigration Policy of the National Development Council. Our efforts extend to effectively promoting MOE's "New Southbound Industry-Academia Collaboration Program for International Students" and "Project for Expanding Recruitment of Overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macau, and Foreign Students into Key Industry Sectors." We actively carry out the "1+4 International Foundation Program"and plan to target recruitment for "New Type Programs" to attract and retain more international students in Taiwan. Additionally, initiatives such as the "3+4 Vocational Education Program for Overseas Compatriot Students," led by the Overseas Community Affairs Council, will also be advanced. Concurrently, we prioritize the strategic development of international education cooperation partners, pursue opportunities for collaboration with esteemed foreign universities, and foster reciprocal exchanges with distinguished faculty and students worldwide. To efficiently manage matters about international education and academic exchange cooperation, the Office of International Cooperation comprises three second-level divisions. - International Admissions Center: It is primarily responsible for recruiting international students and overseas Chinese students (including those from Hong Kong and Macao) to enroll at our university and assist them in undertaking the necessary procedures for coming to Taiwan. - International Foundation Program: It plays a central role in executing the "1+4 International Foundation Program" and is dedicated to managing academic matters and offering guidance to international students in their learning, daily life, and career development. - Chinese Language Section: It promotes Chinese language education and facilitates cultural academic exchange activities. It provides international students with a team of qualified teaching professionals, Chinese language courses that integrate theory and practice, and a comprehensive teaching environment to enhance Chinese language proficiency and deepen their understanding of Taiwanese culture.
