A Brief Introduction of General Education Center

一、 The general education center of Nanya has been established since August, 20000. It is responsible for planning and setting up the curriculum of school general education and carrying out all the related administrative affairs.

二、 In order to put the ideal of general education into practice, and equally emphasize the 「 profession and general education 」 , the general education committee was established in September, 2000. It is made up of president ( chairman of the committee ), dean of Academic Affairs, dean of Student Affairs, dean of Student Affairs, dean of General Affairs, dean of Evening Division, dean of General Education Center , and the representatives of each teaching and research ( T&R) group. The committee is in charge of setting the goals and policies.

三、 The organization of the general education center is divided into four parts: administration, committee, promotion and recruiting, and curriculum design.

• General Education Center Committee
  There are one director, 2 staffs, and one part-time student worker in the GEC. Their jobs are related to the projects, seminars, syllabus-collecting, meeting report-collecting and activities. The GE committee are responsible for the recruiting of full-time, part-time teachers, the prolonging of teacher's service, promotion and the further study. They vote for the representatives of school affairs meeting and school committee for evaluation of teacher's performance.
