Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering
Goals
The education goals of CSIE Department are to enhance students with (1) Information skills, (2) Creative applications, (3) Pragmatic employment, and (4) Personal growth. Our focus and development features are Applications of Science and Technology in Digital Living. The objective is to apply digital technologies to make life more comfortable, relaxing, and simple, i.e. to set goals as the theme of "e-life, ease your life". Thus, three modules of CSIE curriculums are derived: Cloud Services and Applications, Applications of Embedded Systems, and of Multimedia.
Facilities
The CSIE dept. facilities consist of five large laboratories, four special topic research labs, three e-classrooms, and an e-life recreation hall. Some labs are also used as examination rooms for national and international certifications, including Level B & C technician exams for computer hardware fabrications, international certification examinations for PCP embedded systems, and for Red Hat RHCSA embedded operating system.
